He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Packer and Malinda Packer (Singer); and his son-in-law Dr. Doug Roeshot. He is survived by: his wife Connie Packer of Marsh Creek; his children, Travis Packer of Marsh Creek, Diane Day (Terry) of Marsh Creek, Vanessa Brickley (Joe) of Blanchard, Melinda Roeshot of Boalsburg, Melissa Burd (Doug) of Lizardville and Lana Davis (Charlie) of Milesburg; his brother Gerald Packer (Audre) of Beech Creek; his close friend Joshua Weaver (Nik); and his pets, Zack and Trouble. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; many great, great grandchildren.
