He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph J. Bickel and Dorothy M. Barner; his wife Gwen Bickel (Kline); his children, Kurt K. Bickel (Luann) and Nancy J. (Jonathan W. Sakowski); his siblings, Fairy Jean Briening (Jim), Metta Williamson and Shuman B. Bickel; and his siblings-in-law, James Williamson and Patricia Bickel. He was also cherished by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
