He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard M. Caprio and Margaret M. Bills Caprio. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia E. Powers; his children, Joseph M. Caprio (Lori) of Mill Hall and Mary Beth Aber (Charles) of Bellefonte; his brother-in-law Edward Powers (Kathy) of Lemoyne; his grandchildren, Rhiannon Wilkinson (Owen), Dylan Caprio (Lindsay), Gavin Caprio, Cierra, Mariah and Mason Aber; and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; five nieces and nephews.
