James E. Copenhaver Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Copenhaver (Lock Haven, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Welsh Copenhaver and Verda Grace Copenhaver Hearn (Steffen); his wife Barbara A. Yost; his siblings, Frank, Jr., Robert, Kenneth, Dale, Glen, Allan Copenhaver and Janet Shade; and his son-in-law Gerald Gilrain.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce Gilrain of Massachusetts, James Copenhaver, Jr. of Lock Haven, Bonnie Heverly (Tim) of Beech Creek and Brenda Dickson (Randall) of Clintondale; his sisters, Patty Duncan (Don) of Florida and Jean Flanigan of Avis; his grandchildren, Laurel Shughart (Dale), Holly Lupton (Bradley), Roxanne Miller (Dustin), Hannah Gilrain (Jaden Oliver), Hailey Mae (Mason Torongeau) and Lexi Dickson (Shaun England); and his pet Sawyer. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc. (231 High St, Lock Haven, PA 17745). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in James' name may be made to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
