He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Ann McCloskey; his parents, Luzell Dietz and Mona Mary Dietz (Hendricks); his siblings, Janice Dunn (Donald), Marilyn Dietz, Robert Dietz, Gary Dietz and Jimmy Dietz; his son-in-law James Gotschall; his grandson Jason Gotschall; and his daughter Caryl.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Kulesza (Peter) of Friendsville, Cheryl Gotschall-Shoop (Greg) of Hughesville and Cathy Young (Wayne) of Lock Haven; his grandchildren, Julie Smith (Regan) of Hughesville, Daniel Kulesza (Charlotte Anderson) of Greenville, NC, Sarah Allen (Chris) of Woodstock, GA and Megan Muthler (Darren) of Lock Haven; and his great grandchildren, Madelynne, Jameson Smith, Penelope and Victoria Allen.
