He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles N. James and Margaret Lee James; his wife Diane James; his sister Barbara Zepp (Don) of California; his children, Joni Lavelle (William) of Cresco and Donald C. James (Susan) of Mingoville; his grandchildren, Bill Lavelle, Jr. of Colorado, Nathan James (Tosha) of Bellefonte and Danielle James of Mingoville; and his great grandchildren, Emberlynn James and Brayden Shellenberger. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church, United Evangelical Lutheran Church or UPMC Family Hospice through the funeral home.
