He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth A. Gharet, and Beulah M. Shumac Gharet, Sr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Moon (William) of Castanea, Rose Yandell (David) of Mill Hall, Kenneth Gharet, Jr. (Christine) of Avis, Glenn Gharet (Debra) of Avis, Steven Gharet (Holly) of Jersey Shore, Greg Gharet, Sr. of Avis and Diane Cochran of Castanea; his mother-in-law Patricia Rooney of Jersey Shore; and his pet Brutus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in David's name may be made to either Clinton County SPCA or American Heart Association through the funeral home.
