He was predeceased by: his father Harvey H. Barnhart. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis A. Fravel; his daughters, Patricia Barnhart of Warrington and Susan Barnhart Brostrom (Robert) of Warrington; his granddaughter Catherine Brostrom Terramani (Nicholas); and his great grandchild Charlotte Terramani.
