He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Guy Bower and Bessie Wincompleck Ferguson; his son-in-law Francis E. Fourney; and his grandsons, Chad M. Fourney and Leonard Young III.
He is survived by: his children, Allen W. Bower of Jersey Shore, Holly R. Dolan (Peter) of Lock Haven, Karen L. Hoffman (Dean) of McElhattan, Kathy L. Young II (Leonard) of Mill Hall and Kay L. Fourney of Pine Grove; and his close friend MaryJane Brewster of Jersey Shore. He is also survived by Four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren.
