He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Mingee and Hattie Mingee (Worley); and his siblings, Ralph, Louis Mingee, Mary Bell, Ruth "Kitty" McCoy, Martha Jones and Irene Hoffman.
He is survived by: his significant other Vera Ridinger; his close friend Vera Ridinger of Littlestown; his sons, Emory Mingee, Jr. of Sykesville, Dustin Mingee (Kelli) of Littlestown, Julee Mingee of Eldersburg and Chrystal Cromwell (Clint) of Gettysburg; his grandchildren, Miranda, Tyler, Jaden, Brayden, Cameron and Max; and his great grandchild Silas.
