He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Mary E. Quinn Kendig of Lancaster; his daughter Amber (Paul Angell); his grandson Maverick Edway Angell of Grovetown, GA; his siblings, Linda (Daniel Moyer, IV), Franklin R. Kendig, Jr. (Kim, Lancaster, Tammy), James Haines, Donna (Harry Breniser, Lancaster), Sonjia Mercado and Leola; his father Franklin; his brother Edward; and his daughter Brandi Lee Kendig. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
