It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth E. Courtney (Lititz, Pennsylvania), born in Newton, New Jersey, who passed away on November 19, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Day E. Hixson and Mary Elizabeth Smith Hixson; her husband William M. Courtney; and her sisters, Eloise Smith and Freda Sovinee.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey A. Courtney of Willow Street, Donna E. (Carl David Gholson) of Scottsville, KY and Pamela S. (Andrew Brackbill) of Lititz; her grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, William, Drew, Hannah and Olivia; her great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Andrew; and her sister Doris Mitchell of Newton, NJ.
