He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Koeler (Kulp) and Jacob Koeler. He is survived by: his close friend Lorraine B. Heckel; his sons, Neil B. Kulp and Eric J. (Kerri Heckel); his grandchildren, Joshua Kulp, Nicholas Heckel, Logan Heckel and Tanner Heckel; and his great grandchildren, Blake Russell Kulp and Dakota Heckel.
