He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth L. Grove; and his siblings, Jean M. Almoney and Kenneth L. Grove Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Kathryn Grove (Saylor); his wife Cinda "Cindy" B. Grove; his children, Kevin A. Grove of York, PA, Robert L. Grove II of Hamilton, OH and Rebecca L. Grove (Joshua R. Przybyszewski) of Shillington, PA; and his sister Sandy K. Sipe (Scott Sipe) of York Haven, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
