He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah S. Gingrich (Bowman) and Amos H. Gingrich; his brothers, Donald E., Ray R. and Daniel F.; and his niece Nancy Gingrich.
He is survived by: his wife Frances (Kipp); his children, R. William "Bill" (Cheri) of Elizabethtown and Susanne M. Smeigh (Donald R. Jr.) of Cerro Gordo, NC; and his grandchildren, Neil R., Leah M., Ian J. Smeigh and Quinn R. Gingrich. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
