He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret E. Gerhard (Eby); his parents, Philip S. Sr. Gerhard and Mary Emily Gerhard (Flury); his son John P. Gerhard (Susan) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Olivia Salembier, Eva Salembier, Alexandre Salembier, Jacob Gerhard and Jack Gerhard; and his brother Harry Gerhard (Linda) of Oregon.
