He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz and Olga; and his brother Robert Astheimer. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his sons, Andrew (Jenn), Erik (Thi) and Kurt (Karen); his grandchildren, Rachel, Brendan, Graham, Dominick, Libby and Molly; his sister Anita Cook (David); his nephew Daniel (Heather); his niece Jennifer; and his siblings-in-law, Jerome Pietrosewicz and JoAnn Milliken.
