He was predeceased by: his father Harvey W. Gerhart; his brothers, Ivan S. and Lamar Gerhart; and his niece Alisha M. Metzler. He is survived by: his children, Tina M. Gerhart of Ephrata and Lester S. Gerhart, Jr. (Hayley) of Denver; his grandchildren, Izabel, Oaklee, Carson and Matthew Gerhart; his siblings, Erma Miller of Lititz, Luke S. Gerhart of Manheim, Mervin Gerhart (Linda) of Mount Joy and Brenda S. Metzler (Clyde) of Manheim; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Miller (Melanie) of Penryn, Bradley Metzler of Gap, Allison Burkhart (Tony) of Mount Joy and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Zimmerman (Jeremy) of Mount Joy.
