He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Eyer and Sue Eyer (Brandt); his siblings, John and Jane Eyer; his former life partner Katharine Eyer; and his grandchildren, Janelle Elizabeth Eyer and Lorenzo Eyer.

He is survived by : his wife Bretta; his children, Jeffrey (Blandine Fuchs) of Berlin, Deborah (David Hall) of Lititz and Richard (Karen Keller Eyer) of Lititz; his grandson Leonard of Berlin; and his great grandchildren, Lukas, Finnley, Jackson and Kennedy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren (1601 Sunset Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
