She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Richter and Amelia Richter (Weisgerber). She is survived by: her husband John D. Hemsteger (Jack); and her children, Michael J. Hemsteger (Lynne) of Huntersville, NC, Holly A. Bumbaco (Michael) of Virginia Beach, VA and Laurel S. Salzmann (John) of Belmont, NC.. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
