He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sr. Hornberger and Lizzie Hornberger (Landis); and his siblings, Albert, Landis (Bud) and Beulah Beitzel.

He is survived by: his sons, Leonard of Lancaster, Jay (Becky Zook) of Lititz, Scott (Patti Rodgers) of Sarasota, FL and David (Barb Thompson) of Lancaster. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
