With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan A. McElwee of Lititz, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 16, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joan departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joan. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Schrull and Augusta Schrull; her husband Michael P. McElwee; and her sons, James E. Van Lenten (Crystal) of North East, MD, John L. Van Lenten (Cherie) of Lancaster, Mark Van Lenten (Kristin) of Ephrata and Stephen Van Lenten of Lancaster. She was also cherished by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
