He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Mellinger and Vera M. Denlinger Mellinger; and his brother John Mellinger. He is survived by: his wife Fannie D. Mellinger; his sons, Ronald L. (Nancy Jerdon Mellinger) of Mount Joy, Gerald K. (Dawn Beecher Mellinger) of Strasburg and Duane E. (Amie Burkhart Mellinger) of New Holland; and his siblings, J. Carl (Pat Mellinger) of Elizabethtown and Doris Smith of Lititz. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
