He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemarie S. Chapple; his son James K. Chapple; and his siblings, Joseph Chapple and Barbara Hofmann. He is survived by: his children, Edward Chapple (Ted) of Merced, California and Gayle Cardascia (Timothy) of Merced, California; and his sister Margaret Compton of Snellville, Georgia.. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
