It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene R Witmer in Lititz, Pennsylvania, born in Soudersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Caleb W. Witmer and Elizabeth Heller Witmer (Rohrer); his wife Anne E. Witmer (Stoltzfus); and his son Jon Kent Witmer. He is survived by: his children, Daryl E. Witmer (Mary) of Monson, Randall D. Witmer (Glenda) of Lititz, PA and Gina A. Plain (John Plain) of Quarryville, PA; his grandchildren, Andrew Witmer (Maureen), Stephen Witmer (Emma), Timothy Witmer (Amy), Kristin Reardon (Travis), Jeffrey Witmer (Brenna), Rebecca Graham (Joel), Kara Miller (Michael), John Plain, Caleb Plain (Jessica) and Adalie Plain; and his siblings, C. Donald Witmer (Irene) of Lancaster, Melvin Witmer (Barbara) of Rochester, NY and E. Marlene Groff of Winchester, VA. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
