He was predeceased by: his parents, William DeWald and Ardell DeWald (Kissinger); and his brothers, William, Raymond and Paul.
He is survived by: his sister Ruth DeWald of Lititz; his children, Susan Baum (Lewis), Debra McClune (Donald), Kathy Giovengo (Mark), Doreen DeWald (Curt Pierce) and David DeWald, Jr.; and the mother of his children Mildred DeWald. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren + 1 on the way, and his former wife.
