He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Cott (Gnall); his daughter Mary; and his siblings, Eddie, Frank Cott, Sophia Yagoda, Verna Ambrose, Stella Kulpak, Helen Berger, Edna Stefan and Jennie Cimokowski.
He is survived by: his children, Linda J. Cott of Lititz, PA., John M. Cott of Huntington Beach, CA. and Elaine M. Bennis (Cott) of Lancaster, PA.; his grandchildren, Victoria A. Sasso (Cott) of Santa Ana, CA., Kristin M. Cott, Merida, Jennifer C. Kennedy (Bennis) of Mt Joy, PA. and Sara E. Bennis of Philadelphia, PA.; and his great grandchildren, Elwood Sasso and Krew Kennedy. He is also survived by his family and friends.
