It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Denlinger Hershey of Lititz, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 8, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sem E. Hershey and Martha Hershey (Denlinger); his brothers, Leonard Hershey and Charles Hershey; and his siblings-in-law, Ivan Yost, John Yost and Eva Hershey (Charles).
He is survived by: his children, Anita Fuhrman (Robert) of Bonham, TX, Gerald Hershey (Jeanette Kreider) of Waynesboro, VA, Benjamin Lee Hershey (Michelle Hobkirk) of Estero, FL and Julie Tieszen (Jonathan) of Harrisonburg, VA; his grandchildren, Laura Herr (Austin), Rachel Ferrara (Steve), Dorothy Kitchen (Zach), Jordan Sem Hershey, Lindsey Hershey, Anna Tieszen and Claire Tieszen; his sisters, Verna Yost, Rhoda Yost and Miriam Martin (Leo); and his sister-in-law Genny Hershey (Leonard). He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
