She is survived by: her parents, Zachary T. Hurst and Rachel R. Hurst (Shortes); her sister Joanna Hurst; her grandfathers, Elvin Hurst (Carol) and David Shortes (Dawn); her great-grandparents, Irene Haller (Boll) and Glenn A. Keen, Sr.; her uncle Brian Shortes (Erin); her aunts, Becky Ream (Justin) and Amy Grier (Jason); and her cousins, Riley, Mason, Jacob, Logan and Emma.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Abby's name to the Clinic for.
