He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tilghman Sr. and Edythe Tilghman; and his sisters, Loretta Tilghman and Margaret Tilghman. He is survived by: his uncle Sonny; his wife Carol Green-Tilghman of Linwood, PA.; his brothers, Marvin Tilghman of Chester, PA. and Gardner Tilghman of Washington, DC.; his daughter Carla Tilghman of Wilmington, DE.; his stepdaughter Crystal Alston of Wilmington, DE.; and his brother Rev. Othello Savage (June Pick). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
