He was predeceased by: his parents, John P., Jr. and Sarah I. Holland Schauer; his daughter Lori Carey; his grandson Jason Schauer Carey; and his siblings, Ken, Kathleen and Peggy.
He is survived by: his wife Joy S. Heim Schauer; his grandson Jordan Carey (MegAnn); his son Ezra of New Cumberland; and his great grandchild Mackenzie Schauer Carey of Mechanicsburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Covenant Um Church (346 N 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17046). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
