He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Hartzell and Blanche Hartzell (Radaker); his wife Donna Smith; his son Denis Hartzell; his grandchildren, Karla Hartzell and Chad Hartzell; and his siblings, Maxine Fike, Rebecca Hartzell, Jane Hartzell and William Hartzell.

He is survived by : his sons, Randall Hartzell (Sandra) of Estero, FL, Ronald Hartzell (Tammy Sterling), Gary Hartzell and Brian Hartzell (Leanne); his daughter-in-law Belinda Hartzell of Sarasota, FL; his grandchildren, Kristy Arrigan, Thomas Hartzell, Kylie Hartzell, Jennifer Hartzell and Karissa Hartzell; his great grandchildren, Meghan Arrigan and Amanda Arrigan; and his siblings, Wilda Prince of Albany, GA, Pauline Wilson and Robert Hartzell of Oxford, FL.. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
