He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gehr and Cecelia Gehr (Bodisch); and his siblings, David Gehr and Mary Sherretts. He is survived by: his wife Alice Gehr; his daughters, Susan Gehr and Sara Gehr; his granddaughter Amelia Rose Lawrence; and his sister Julianna Whilden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Paul's name.
