He was predeceased by : his father Homer Smith. He is survived by : his wife Marlene Carruba; his children, Crystal Schafer, Jeffery Smith, Michael Smith, Douglas Smith and Larry Riley; and his nephew Lee Freeman. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
