She was predeceased by: her parents, Mertell Diggan and Jessie Diggan (Kramm); her husband Frank L. Smith; her brothers, William "Bill" and John Diggan; and her half-brother Jim Follmer.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis F. Smith of Milton and Mary D. Carey of Northumberland. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
