She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John F. Shirey Jr.; and her children, John J. Shirey (Ruthie), David K. Shirey (Cindy) of Latrobe, Janet Thomas (Mark) of Pikeville, NC and J. Robert Shirey (Susan) of Nashville, TN.. She was also cherished by her four children, she is survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
