It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Earl Nicely of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Ronald Earl may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ronald Earl touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl and Florence Rose McDowell Nicely; his sons, Roger Nicely and Richard E. Nicely; and his sister Nancy Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Marian "Chris" Plummer Nicely; his daughter Debra J. Nicely of Ligonier; his grandson Kevin Jordan; and his sisters, Carol Mitchell (Bob) of Warterford and Bonnie Large (Tom) of Villages, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
