It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle E. Boyd of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Boyd and Helen Boyd; his wife Sherry; his daughters, Stacey L. Knupp (Paul) of Ligonier, Amy B. Peterson (Lou) of Cranberry Township and Janice L. Polansky (Paul) of Youngwood; his grandchildren, Amanda Knupp Rhodes (Ken) of Ruffsdale, Ryan Knupp (Grace) of Charleston, S. C., Jacob Peterson (Stine Evenstroem) of Cranberry Township, Alyssa Peterson of Pittsburgh, Nicholas Polansky of Youngwood and Emily Polansky of Youngwood; his sister Janice McMaster (Cathy) of Ligonier; and his brother-in-law Thomas Lynn (Brenda) of Ligonier. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that all donations are sent to First Church of the Brethren or the Ligonier Township Volunteer Fire Department No. 1, Waterford, in memory of Lyle.
