With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Galvin Leighty (Ligonier, Pennsylvania), born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2025 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale D. Leighty and Anna Leighty (Rafferty); his sister Daryl Comella (Michael); and his grandparents, Dorris, Harriet A. Leighty, Emmet and Nancy Rafferty.
He is survived by: his siblings, Harriet Cheryl Leighty and Joseph N. Leighty (Patricia); his nephew Joseph D. Leighty (Paula); his niece Rebecca A. Leighty-Passcarella (Mike); and his caregivers, Emily and Kelly.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home (402 E Church St, Ligonier, PA 15658).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
