He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Merl and Gladys Gilbert of Latrobe. He is survived by: his wife Dawn; his son Donald Gilbert Jr.; his granddaughter Estella; his son David Gilbert (Sarah); his granddaughters, Eva, Lily and Anna; and his sister Mildred (Robert Carlson) of Arizona.
