He was predeceased by: his parents, Orie Hurt and Jennie Verba Hurt; and his wife Dixie L. Friedline Hurt. He is survived by: his brothers, Orie Hurt Jr. (Carol) of Royston Georgia, James Leon Hurt (Chris) of Fairview, PA, William R. Hurt (Rochelle) of San Angelo and Robert; and his sister-in-law Sandra Johnson (Karen Erbe) of Ligonier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home (144 E Main St, Ligonier, PA 15658). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Florence United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions are asked to be made to the New Florence United Methodist Church.
