He was predeceased by: his parent Elmer Birkhimer; and his sons, Paul Birkhimer and Karl Birkhimer. He is survived by: his parent Mary Birkhimer (Andrews); his wife Mary Louise Birkhimer (Martin) of Johnstown; his daughter-in-law Suzanne Birkhimer of West Lafayette, IN; and his grandchildren, Hannah Slenska, Tara Slenska, Nick Birkhimer and Jack Birkhimer.
