He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wilson and Lavina Wilson; his wife Ruth L. Wilson (Woodward); and his son-in-law James Sickler (Margaret). He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Sickler of Enterprise, Ala., Ruth W. Kauffman (Jonas B. III) of Lancaster and Nancy W. Barouh (Stanford) of Washington, D. C.; his grandsons, Will Kirby, James Edward, Rob Sickler, Lucas and Daniel Kauffman; and his sister-in-law June Taylor (Richard) of Belleville. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
