He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen "Dolly" George; his stepchildren, Jacalyn, Michael and James Patton; and his parents, Lewis W. George and Dorothy C. George (Burnell).
He is survived by: his wife Marie George (Mullen); his former wife Ruth E. Wagner; his daughters, Christine Watts (Charles), Lisa Watts (Bryan) and Julie Whitsel (Dennis); and his stepchildren, Marie Mulvihill, Ed and Chuck Kirkpatrick.
