With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Check (Lewistown, Pennsylvania), born in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 22, 2021 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Check and Anna Bajzik Check; his son Robert B. Check; his sisters, Elizabeth Check, Anna Check Yamarik and Mildred Check; and his daughter-in-law Ann Rose Check.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Ruble Check; his son Dr. William A. Check (Sheryl); his grandson Adam of Great Falls, VA; and his son Brian D. Check of Schwenksville, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in William's memory may be made to the St. John's music program at 120 N. Main Street, Lewistown, PA 17044 or to the high school scholarship fund by retired teachers, Mifflin County School Retirees Scholarship Fund, 131 Kearns Road, Lewistown, PA 17044.
