He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Briar and Helen Shilling; his wife Sandra Jean Briar; and his son Robert E. Briar Jr.. He is survived by: his stepmother Florence Schott Briar; and his children, Connie Smith (Ronald) of Maryland, Richard Briar of Maryland, Francis W. K. Briar and Charles W. Briar (Sheri) of Lewistown. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 S. Main St., Lewistown.
