She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Kauffman-Davis and Jessie Shimp Kauffman-Davis; her former husband Lee G. Lyter; her husband James K. "Jim" Abbott; and her son Milton Brandt III.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Searer (Dan) of Prescott, AZ and Gary Lyter of Manhattan Beach, CA.; her grandchildren, Kelly Coburn, Christine Rogers (Mark), Katrina, Roxanne, Bryce, Camille, Leigh, Jesse and Trey Lyter; and her great grandchildren, Megan Coburn, Ethan Coburn (Brooke), Josh Rogers (Katie) and Emilee Rogers.
