He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hess and Marjorie Fackender Hess (Brown); his stepfather Warren L. Hess; and his brothers, Steven Fackender and Leroy Hess.
He is survived by: his nieces, Angela Lyles of Lewistown and Heather Fackender of Lewistown; and his close friend Jake Thompson of Lewistown. He is also survived by 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.
