He was predeceased by: his father Leslie Blair Pierce Jr.; his grandparents, Blair, Mary Pierce, William and Helen Buffington; his aunt Colleen Pierce; and his cousin Mark Buffington.
He is survived by: his mother Cheryl Ann Pierce Hasson (Buffington) of Reedsville; his stepfather John Charles Hasson; his sister Christine Lynn Prough (Steven) of Strodes Mills; his siblings-in-law, William, Rosemary Buffington of Stuart, Fla., Ralph, Deborah Buffington of Sweetwater, Tenn, Bruce, Laura Buffington of Belleville, David and Debbie Buffington of Hummelstown; his great-aunt Ethel Cippolini (Ed) of Philipsburg; his cousins, Joy McCliment and DeDe Coleman (Ernie); his stepbrother Scott Hasson; and also Atom.
In lieu of flowers, Matt would love it if you would perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone in need, and, of course, cheer on his Dolphins to a championship victory.
