He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Long and Mary Long (Partner); his wife Ruth E. Long; his son Joseph M. Long; his siblings, Gene Long, Gerald Long, Betty Mitchell and Ruth Pearson; and his son-in-law Douglas C. King.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce A. King of Lewistown, Deana S. Kauffman (Jeffery) of Strasburg, VA and Daniel L. Long (Dee) of Lewistown; his daughter-in-law Glenda Long of Bellefonte; his sister Thelma Haubrick of Granville; his grandchildren, Ryan Kauffman (Jody), Andrea Fank (Josh), Allyson Ledbetter (Brandon), Nathan Koontz, Stephany Frock (Brian) and Stephen King (Morgan Lutz); and his great grandchildren, Jalee Bodtorf, Carter Fank, Charlotte Fank, Parker Ledbetter, Cole Kauffman, Carsten Fank and Elsie Frock.
